What version are you running? 2.0.8 What's the URL of the page containing the problem? Various, such as a new draft. What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Create a new draft via 'rbt post' without summary. 2. Type a description and save it. OK, this works. 3. In order to input the summary, cut a phrase from the description field and paste it in the summary field. 4. Click OK. It will not be saved as the summary. 5. Attempt to publish the draft. RB will complain that there is no summary. What is the expected output? What do you see instead? The text is not saved as the summary. However, if you type at least one keystroke after pasting, the text is recognized and saved. So, it seems the paste operation is not triggering a change and the input field does not realize that it contains the new text. What operating system are you using? What browser? Windows 7. Firefox 33. Please provide any additional information below.
I'm not sure that 3592 is really the same as the bug I reported (3632). In my case, the cut and paste 'works' in the sense that the text appears in the pasted input field. The problem is that the web page does not realize it has received a change to that input field, so it considers it unchanged. If these are being lumped together because they are both cut-n-paste errors, then yes, in that general sense they are the same.
I'll try this!
I can't seem to reproduce this bug. Could you try this with a newer version of RB?
version 2.0.11. Firefox 35. Pasting via CTRL+c CTRL+v works fine in diff comments, summary and other fields. Context menu unavailable. Internet Explorer 11. Pasting via CTRL+c CTRL+v works fine in diff comments, summary and other fields. Context menu available but does not paste text in diff comments. Does paste in summary, testing etc. Odd :)
