1858: users cannot change first name, last name and e-mail when using ldap authentication

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. set up ldap authentication without e-mail lookup
2. log in as a regular user
3. the user account page only contains user preferences and groups only an admin can change a user's first name, last name and e-mail

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
users should be able to edit their own info

What operating system are you using? What browser?
Debian testing, iceweasel 3.5.13

We have the same issue, username and email are the same in LDAP and only admins can change first/last name.
This definitely gets my vote to be exposed to the user profile section
