Describe the enhancement and the motivation for it.
Users often forget to check or uncheck the “Open as an Issue” checkbox when adding comments or issues, which leads to confusion and workflow disruptions. This is a significant design flaw, as comments and issues represent two distinct workflows for developers. Additionally, saving a comment currently requires two clicks, which adds unnecessary friction.
We’d like to propose a design enhancement: replacing the checkbox with two distinct buttons—“Save as Comment” and “Save as Issue.” This approach would make the intent clearer to reviewers and streamline the user experience by reducing the number of clicks required to save a comment.
