5028: MacOS installation error

Trying to install on MacOS with curl https://install.reviewboard.org | python3 and I get the error virtualenv: error: argument dest: the destination . is not write-able at /opt


Tried running as sudo/root, but that fails due to brew not wanting to run as sudo.
