2800: Cannot reply to comments using Chrome on Ubuntu

What version are you running?

What's the URL of the page containing the problem?

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. When viewing the review, submit a comment
2. the author replies
3. click on 'add comment' to try to reply to author

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to see a textarea box appear next to my name, instead a pencil icon appears next to my name. The 'add comment' link disappears.

What operating system are you using? What browser?
I'm running Ubuntu 11.04
Chrome 18.0.1025.162

It works fine with Firefox 16.0.2

A few minutes later I returned to the page, and the textarea was suddenly visible!

I can consistently reproduce the problem.

What version of chrome do you have? What extensions are you running?


Also, 1.6.3 is quite old at this point. This issue doesn't sound familiar but so many things have been fixed in the 1.6.x releases that I can't remember them all. If possible, I'd recommend upgrading to 1.6.13

I've experienced this issue. It was a regression in Chrome, and upgrading Chrome fixed it.

Confirmed. Upgrading to from Chrome 18 to 23 fixed it.
